It appears that one of Auburn football's top assistant coaches and recruiters could be headed to another SEC program. It was reported on Sunday that former Tigers wide receiver turned coach Marcus Davis could be joining the staff at Florida to work under new head coach Jon Sumrall.

Auburn is now expected to lose four scholarship wide receivers to the transfer portal. The latest receiver to make his intentions known is Cam’Ron King, who was one of the Tigers’ reserves this season. He appeared in just three games in 2025, finishing the year with one catch for six yards.
