Here's why hundreds of Texans turned up at the state Capitol to join a nationwide protest against President Donald Trump and his executive actions.

Demonstrators have gathered in downtown Austin to speak out against President Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration and other actions he's taken since entering the White House for a second term. FOX 7 Austin's Angela Shen has a look.

The demonstration is part of a national protest against the conservative plan to enact sweeping change within the federal government. The Texas House and Senate are also in session Wednesday.
