The Atlanta Falcons‘ announcement of their first phone call with John Harbaugh prompted the Giants to shout their interest from the rooftops: They are all in on the former Baltimore Ravens head coach.
Via Ian O'Connor of TheAthletic.com, Giants senior player personnel executive Chris Mara said that he met Harbaugh for an informal lunch meeting at Harbaugh's house on Sunday. The disclosure comes at a time when rumors are swirling that the Giants have already made an unofficial offer to Harbaugh, in the range of $20 million per year.
The latest twist in the Harbaugh saga means that the Giants are the first team to have one of its executives sit down with the former Ravens coach since he hit the open market.
Longtime New York Giants executive Chris Mara told The Athletic he met with John Harbaugh on Sunday at the former Ravens coach’s home in the Baltimore area for what Mara described as a lunch and informal meeting.
