'Security incident' grounds Frontier Airlines flight at DFW Airport
A Frontier Airlines flight from Denver to Dallas was grounded on Monday morning because of a security concern.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground delay for flights departing other cities to DFW International Airport on Friday evening due to staffing shortages. The FAA said the average delay is 45 minutes.
According to the FAA, total flight delays rose sharply as a result of the outage from roughly 1,256 minutes earlier in the morning to more than 4,500 minutes, with the maximum individual delay reaching 129 minutes. The agency rated the probability of extending the ground stop as “medium.”
