John Deere continues to cut jobs, this time in Ottumwa, as the farm economy struggles and the company's profit outlook declines.

Layoffs are taking effect today for 112 John Deere employees in eastern Iowa, according to Iowa Workforce Development’s WARN Notifications. This round of layoffs is at the Waterloo Works facility, which manufactures some of John Deere’s larger pieces of farming equipment.

Monday was also the first day out of a job for 112 workers at John Deere Waterloo Works after the layoffs announced in December.
