The Tennessee Vols climbed three spots in this week's AP Top 25 poll thanks to their blowout win against the Kentucky Wildcats. Tennessee went from No. 17 to No. 14 in the AP Top 25 following a 56-34 road win over the Wildcats this past weekend.

The Wildcats almost got an upset win over Texas last week, but their two-year wait for an SEC home victory goes on. After losing to Alabama, the Vols know they need to win out to keep their resume worthy of a spot in the postseason.
Heading into this year’s matchup, Tennessee sits at 5-2 overall (2-2 SEC) after a strong offensive showing through much of the first half of the season. Meanwhile, Kentucky remains winless in SEC play (0-4) and is averaging just under 16 points per game against conference opponents.
Tennessee has scored at least 34 points in all but one game this season, while the Wildcats have averaged just 15 points in their 4 conference games. The Volunteers will be looking for a major bounce-back win that includes better play in all facets of the game. Expect the road team to pounce on the Wildcats early and often Saturday night.
