As the Phoenix Suns remain stuck in play-in purgatory with the most expensive roster in the NBA and no obvious path to get better, a Kevin Durant trade

ESPN's Brian Windhorst took the team to "Get Up" to talk about Durant's trade market and the possibilities, and he mentioned Booker as the only safe player on the Suns. "The only thing I can tell you for sure is that tomorrow afternoon, Devin Booker will be on the Suns," Windhorst reported. "I think that's the only guarantee."

Phoenix acquired Durant at the 2023 trade deadline along with T.J. Warren by sending Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, four unprotected first-round picks and a 2028 first-round pick swap to the Brooklyn Nets. It was the kind of move a team only makes if it expects to win a championship. That hasn't happened.
