ANN ARBOR — In danger of a second straight loss and first home defeat all season, Michigan went on a 9-0 run over the final 1:42 to beat Penn State on Monday night. Tre Donaldson’s step-back 3 with 24 seconds left was the game-winner. The point guard and his team bounced back from a rough performance in a big way.

Penn State was even with Michigan at halftime and took an early lead with a Freddie Dillone V three-pointer early in the second half. But Michigan went on a run to take a 47-40 lead. The Wolverines stayed ahead of the Nittany Lions until Nick Kern Jr. and Ace Baldwin Jr. led a rally to bring Penn State close.
