An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect from 8 a.m. today through 11 p.m. Saturday. The heat risk is "major" Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as highs range from 108° to 109°, meaning anyone outside without enough water or access to shade may feel health impacts from the heat.
According to the National Disaster Agency, the intensity of this year's monsoon is about 50% to 60% higher than last year.
So far, this monsoon season has seen four major cloudbursts, including in India's Uttarakhand, India and Pakistan's Buner.

A 10-foot-long Indian Rock Python caused panic in a residential society in Mulund, Mumbai, after straying from its natural habitat due to heavy monsoon rains. The reptile, exhausted and disoriented, was safely rescued by the Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare (RAWW) in coordination with the Mumbai Forest Department.
