The U.S. Open has turned into a sprint through the soggy fairways of Oakmont following a downpour that caused a delay of 1 hour, 37 minutes.

The Athletic has live coverage of the 2025 U.S. Open. Through two days, Oakmont has delivered on its reputation as a brutally difficult test of golf. Only three players will be under par when the second round concludes Saturday morning.

According to Weather.com, there's a better than 50 percent chance of rain through 5:15 p.m. in Oakmont before the percentages begin to drop precipitously to less than 15 percent by 7 p.m. Play should resume on time as long as there are no other delays.

Championship Sunday was suspended, at least temporarily, as rain began to pour down at Oakmont Country Club for the 2025 U.S. Open.
