The Tampa Bay Rays won their third straight game Friday night, beating the San Diego Padres 1-0 thanks to seven scoreless innings from starter Shane Baz. Manuel Rodriguez and Garrett Cleavinger closed it out.

Yandy Diaz, coming off back-to-back three-hit games, delivered a sac fly to left that scored Walls. The Rays, who came into the game with an American League-best .287 average with runners in scoring position, couldn’t add any more as Jonathan Aranda struck out and Christopher Morel popped out.
