Texas Softball’s Teagan Kavan delivered a breakout performance on the biggest stage, outdueling the nation’s best to become the last pitcher standing at the WCWS.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Longhorns are national champions in softball. The Longhorns crushed Texas Tech 10-4 in Game 3 to claim the school's first ever national championship in the sport. The Longhorns threw Teagan Kavan in Game 3 to matchup with Texas Tech's NiJaree Canady, who was starting her third consecutive game.
