As far as the creation of our ‘thing’ in Blender, we didn’t get very far. There’s still flanges and holes and round overs to do, but this is only part one of this Blender tutorial.

Blender is hard to get started and even harder to master, but once you have, you can render 3D in the same league as Maya and 3DStudio users. See you at the next Academy Awards ceremony.
