The Lowcountry’s weekend forecast took a dramatic turn the last couple of days — from a wintry mix to an inch or so of the flaky white stuff and now to up to five inches of snow.
As time inches closer to the weekend, meteorologists are becoming increasingly confident that the Lowcountry could see snowfall blanketing the area Jan. 31.
