Gordon Nash, Bill Walton’s basketball coach at Helix High School, passed away Sept. 27 at age 91. Nash started at Helix in the 1967-68 season, winning a pair of CIF championships with Walton as well as 49 straight games. Nash coached 11 seasons and finished with a 259-59 record.
