Elvis Presley Hated His Hit Song "Burning Love" In 1968, following his widely televised comeback special, several media outlets proclaimed Elvis Presley as the greatest living music performer.

The song is associated primarily with Frank Sinatra, who released it in 1969 after Paul Anka wrote it for him. The Elvis version came out in 1972. I like “My Way” – with reservations.
