Support for Azure Storage encryption is at the preview stage. Azure Disk Encryption for Windows and Linux virtual machines isn't available yet.

Currently they don't support disk snapshots, Availability Sets or VM Scale Sets or Azure Disk Encryption and, most importantly, Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery are not yet supported.
