ROSCOMMON — Wall tents and wood stoves are part Michigan’s hunting heritage, but not as many hunters these days head north planning to spend a week tenting during the November firearm deer season.

After hours of work, the new tent is finally standing tall with a warm stove and cozy setup. With trail cams showing a massive buck on the move, I settle in for the first night of hunting season.
