Tropical Storm Melissa formed in the Caribbean on Tuesday, marking the 13th named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.

Melissa is projected to bring severe flooding to parts of the Caribbean, including Hispaniola and Jamaica, throughout the weekend.

A tropical storm warning is also in effect for these islands, where officials are urging residents to prepare for power outages, flooding, landslides and dangerous seas.
