Three students, all of Brainerd, from Crow Wing Kobukan Shorin-ryu Karate dojo participated in the second annual International Shorin-ryu Matsumura Kenpo kata tournament Sept. 18 in Bemidji.

A TEAM of students from The Welsh Kempo Association have done it again. The six students aged from six to 15 travelled to Peterborough last week to enter in a junior Mixed Martial Arts competition.

Shorin-Kempo Kaikan Karate Club hosted the tournament. “It was a great tournament, with over 180 participants competing,” said Shorin-Kempo Kaikan Karate Club’s head coach, Thulane Sibisi.
