The NFL Super Bowl hit New Orleans last night (not sure if you saw? Pretty low-ley event). Football fans tuned in to see the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs duking it out for the title. Non-fans, meanwhile, just wanted to see Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Kendrick Lamar said to expect “storytelling” during his halftime show, and he brought it, with help from some famous friends. He infused the proceedings with humor as well as the cutting American imagery he’s known for — another milestone performance after one of the rapper’s biggest years ever.
