The Atlanta Falcons nearly overcame a 14-point deficit against the New England Patriots on Sunday, but a missed extra point attempt in the fourth quarter proved costly. The Patriots ultimately withstood the run, sending the Falcons home with a 24-23 loss, and a ton of questions about the coaching staff.

The Patriots earned their seventh win of the season after Atlanta kicker Parker Romo missed a game-tying PAT in the final minutes.

Up next the Patriots are on the road to Tampa Bay to face the 6-2 Buccaneers, followed by a Thursday Night game vs. the Jets at home. The Baker Mayfield-led Bucs are coming off their bye and it will be a tough matchup.
