The first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2025 season will be revealed Tuesday night. Here's what we think they'll look like.
Currently, Texas ranks behind Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Oklahoma in the conference. All five of those teams have more favorable schedules ahead than the Longhorns, but on the brighter side for Texas, strength of schedule will be considered more for the selection this time around.
According to ESPN's FPI, Alabama also currently has a projected win/loss record of 10.9-2.0, and have a 31.5% chance to win out. The Crimson Tide also have a 54.2% chance to win the SEC, 92.5% to make the College Football Playoff, 24.4% to make the national title game, and 11.7% to win it.
