Cold weather prompts emergency shelter opening in Waco
WACO, Texas (FOX 44) – The Salvation Army of Waco is preparing to respond to the upcoming winter weather by opening its Emergency Shelter. The organization says the shelter is opened when conditions become dangerous for those without adequate shelter.
The Waco Multi-Purpose Center will act as a warming center, according to FOX 44, starting on Friday, January 23rd at the time of 8 PM. It will remain open until Thursday, Janurary 27th, when it will close at 11 AM. Per the city of Waco, the following will be provided:
