Dangerous storms continue around South East Queensland this afternoon after areas south of Brisbane were drenched following warnings of ‘life-threatening’ weather.

Almost every part of Queensland is on high alert for flooding and river rises as the tropical low which smashed the Far North sweeps down south.

With significant falls forecast for Sunday and Monday, sandbags are available for pick-up across the city, as residents are warned to prepare for flooding.
