The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves completed their pre-game ceremonies but then entered a rain delay at Bristol Motor Speedway. The game will not start at its originally-scheduled first-pitch time of 7:15 p.m.

Among other items of note beyond the basics, the Braves have "called up" Hurston Waldrep to fill a temporary extra roster spot — it's possible the right-hander, taken in the first round of the 2023 draft and ranked by MLB.com as Atlanta's No. 4 prospect, will get a chance to pitch.

The MLB Speedway Classic drew 91,032 fans to Bristol, breaking a regular-season attendance record that had stood for 71 years.
