Doctor Who's partnership with Disney+ is finally over, and that's a very good thing for the iconic British sci-fi series.

The streaming service is no longer partnering with the BBC to distribute the show, but it will return regardless. Disney+ is home to one major sci-fi franchise in Star Wars, and apparently, there wasn’t room on the streamer for another.

The show will continue airing on the BBC, though it remains unclear who will play the titular Time Lord moving forward.
