Amid Sunday rain, Family Gras moved indoors and parades postponed
While Family Gras adapted, Mardi Gras parades across the region were postponed as storms drenched the city. St. Charles Avenue, typically packed with revelers, was eerily empty at the height of the parade season.

Family Gras will be held inside the Pontchartrain Center because of the inclement weather. Doors to the event will open at 2 p. m. with music beginning at 3 p.m.

METAIRIE, La. (WVUE) - With heavy rain expected on Sunday, organizers of Family Gras are moving the festival’s free concert series indoors to the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner. The event will begin at 3 p.m. and feature country stars Gabby Barrett and Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts.
