Starting Monday, drivers will have to pay more if they choose to drive on the Interstate 4 Express Lanes, as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced new "dynamic pricing" system for tolls.

I-4 Express, the express lanes on Interstate 4, opened in 2022. The tolled lanes were the last part of the I-4 Ultimate project to open. Changes are coming for people who drive on the I-4 Express lanes. The price to take the toll lanes could soon go up after being locked in for three years. FDOT leaders said transiting to “dynamic tolling” was always part of the plans.

The Florida Department of Transportation will start using dynamic tolling on I-4 Express lanes starting Monday to manage traffic congestion.
