Chelsea and Ajax have reached an agreement over the signing of Jorrel Hato for a fee in excess of €40million plus a sell-on clause, subject to approval from the Dutch club’s supervisory board. The 19-year-old Netherlands international has agreed a seven-year deal and will travel for a medical after approval has been given.

Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax, sources have told ESPN. The 19-year-old will join the Premier League club in a deal worth €46.5 million ($53m) excluding bonuses, sources told ESPN NL. Chelsea's original offer was rejected last week.

Jorrel Hato will be leaving Ajax to join English side Chelsea. The clubs have reached an agreement regarding a transfer sum of over 40 million euros, with various media outlets reporting that the fee can rise further due to bonuses.
