The normally quiet and subdued Malik Nabers is embracing a louder New York Giants leadership role following encouragement from Russell Wilson.

Nabers, of course, missed spring practices as he rehabbed a toe injury. He left a practice last week with a shoulder injury, but has shown no ill effects from that. Nabers said he is “doing fine” despite being seen spending a lot of time talking with the Giants trainers.

Malik Nabers established himself last year as a rising superstar receiver, a dynamic threat catching the ball and knowing what to do with it afterward. But as he approaches his second season with the Giants, the young receiver is becoming a more well-rounded player, off and on the field.
