Netflix’s share price was up more than 14% in after-hours trading, rising to $995.30 as of 3:20 p.m. EST after closing the day at $869.68. Forbes has reached out to Netflix to confirm the price increases.

The streaming service Netflix says it is raising prices again with plans to-reinvest back into programming, according to the company.

Netflix ended last year with more than 300 million subscribers - an increase of 41 million from 2023 and surpassing its previous best year of 2020, when pandemic lockdowns saw some 36 million turn to the streaming giant for entertainment.
