Verizon outage resolved: Company apologizes, promises credits after phones stuck in ‘SOS’ mode
Verizon, the country's largest cellphone provider, apologized Wednesday night after issues lasting much of the day left subscribers suddenly left without service and stuck in "SOS" mode.
Many were unable to make calls or use mobile data as phones displayed an 'SOS' status or showed no network connection.
New York State Assembly member Anil Beephan has called on the Federal Communications Commission to investigate the hourslong service outage.
