Southwest Airlines will begin selling its tickets on Expedia Group’s websites. Known as an online travel advisory, Expedia includes Orbitz and Travelocity. The announcement comes as Southwest has expanded its route map with new international and domestic flights.

Now, you can count booking giant Expedia among those sites. And, you'll also start seeing Southwest flights listed on additional Expedia Group third-party booking sites like Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz and CheapTickets, the carrier said Wednesday.

The move marks another major shift for Southwest, which had resisted online travel agencies and meta search platforms for decades.
