A 19-year-old Menasha man was charged Wednesday with setting a fire at the office of Wisconsin Rep. Glenn Grothman in Fond du Lac over the nationwide TikTok ban.
The man was arrested Sunday, shortly after crews extinguished a fire at U.S. Representative Glenn Grothman's office, located at a strip mall on N. Peters Ave.
The fire began outside the building – which was unoccupied at the time – and caused minor damage before it was extinguished. No injuries were reported.

A 19-year-old man has been accused of setting a fire at a building that includes Wisconsin Rep. Glenn Grothman's office because of the short-lived TikTok ban. The Fond du Lac Police Department said the incident happened around 1 a.m. on Sunday at a strip mall at 525 N. Peters Ave. that is home to the Republican 6th District congressman's office.
