Patriots owner Robert Kraft has always gone outside the box with many of his coaches and roster management. He didn't offer a full interview process for Bill Belichick back in 2000 - essentially just stealing him from the Jets. He also did not run an interview process for Jerod Mayo last season.

Both the Jets and Saints make sense as potential landing spots for Glenn. A defense-first coach, New York and New Orleans were among the worst defensive teams in the league this year, with the Jets in particular falling apart on that side of the ball after they fired Robert Saleh early in the season.

The Jets were already searching for a new head coach. Former Tennessee Titans bench boss Mike Vrabel is available and he had an interview in New York last week. More noteworthy: Vrabel, 49, is a former Patriots player as well and the speed his former team moved on from Mayo sure does look like Vrabel is on their radar.
