Alabama's weather gets warmer with potential for rain and storms in the forecast later this week
THURSDAY: A cold front moving into Alabama will bring some showers and a few spotty storms. Showers will be possible from sunrise through early afternoon, but the heaviest, most widespread rain will fall with some embedded storms between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. High temperatures will hit the low-to-mid 60s.
At 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch in effect until 6 p.m. for Chambers, Lee, Macon and Randolph counties.
