Joe Gomez has returned to training ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth at Anfield today after three weeks out. The long-serving defender has recovered from the Achilles injury that forced him to leave the club’s pre-season tour of Asia last month and return home to Merseyside for treatment.

Liverpool face Bournemouth in the very first game of the new Premier League season. The runaway champions from last term have a very new look to them, with myriad new signings walking through the Anfield entrance this summer.
