The New York Giants made a massive move late Wednesday night, as they're now working to finalize an agreement with former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh to be their next head coach, CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones confirmed.
The New York Giants will make John Harbaugh one of the league's highest paid head coaches with a deal upwards of $100 million.
"We are going to compete for the playoffs and for championships. I expect and want to make the playoffs next year," Harbaugh said.
The Giants, now led by head coach John Harbaugh, are reportedly looking to bring Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver to New York.
A notable aspect of the agreement, per Albert Breer, is that Harbaugh will report directly to ownership -- a departure from New York's typical structure and a concession to secure the Super Bowl-winning coach.
