Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have shown up at the French Open to participate in a ceremony honoring 14-time tournament champion Rafael Nadal.

Roger Federer said he was “not going to miss it” after returning to the French Open to honour his greatest rival, Rafael Nadal. The tournament got underway on Sunday, but the biggest story on the opening day was about a retired player who wasn’t even in the draw.

Seeing Nadal, Federer and Murray all retire in the last few years has prompted Djokovic to think more about his own mortality.
