Today, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles has begun the formal process to remove his brother Prince Andrew’s titles and he will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. In the statement, the Palace also revealed that Andrew will be moving out of Royal Lodge.

A source denies claims that Prince William threatened to strip Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice of their titles. There were previous reports that William had pressured his cousins to get Prince Andrew out of the Royal Lodge. Andrew will "formalize his decision" about leaving "within days."

Emily Maitlis, the BBC journalist who sat down with Andrew, 65, in 2019 for his infamous “car crash” Newsnight interview, recently claimed that William, 43, threatened to strip Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s royal titles if their father didn’t agree to leave his $38 million royal home.

Prince Andrew, who recently relinquished his formal titles after new revelations about his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, is under pressure to vacate his royal digs where he lives nearly rent-free near Windsor Castle.
