The Kiefer Foundation in Plymouth Township has appointed Melissa Hamrick as its first executive director.

Barry Goodman, founding partner of the Goodman Acker law firm in Southfield, has been honored with the Jessie P. Slaton Award by the Detroit Association of Black Organizations.
