Governor Patrick Morrisey says state employees will not have a paid day off for this Thursday’s federal holiday.

HB 2475 was approved by Governor Glenn Youngkin on March 24, 2025. Adults who are found in violation to the law can be subjected to a $25 fine, the fine rises to $50 if a minor is found unrestrained.
