Verizon outage resolved: Company apologizes, promises credits after phones stuck in ‘SOS’ mode
Verizon, the country's largest cellphone provider, apologized Wednesday night after issues lasting much of the day left subscribers suddenly left without service and stuck in "SOS" mode.
There were more than 130,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Verizon's services around 1:11 pm ET, according to Downdetector.
Telecom giant Verizon experienced a phone service outage on Wednesday that impacted over 100,000 users in the U.S., with the company working to restore connectivity.
