Thomas Frank was named as Tottenham Hotspur's new head coach earlier this week and the first signing of the Dane's tenure is close to being agreed after fresh transfer talks

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the permanent signing of Mathys Tel, who becomes the first acquisition of the Thomas Frank era. The 20-year-old first touched down in North London on transfer deadline day during the winter window and made 20 appearances for Ange Postecoglou 's team in the second half of the season.

Spurs have just appointed Mbeumo’s former boss Thomas Frank as their new manager after paying Brentford £10m to hire him as Ange Postecoglou’s replacement. Frank would like to bring Mbeumo with him to Tottenham and Spurs have expressed an interest to Brentford in doing a deal.
