Josh Allen took a deep breath before he started his news conference Sunday. The moment was familiar. The Bills quarterback was visibly frustrated as he tried to explain how he felt after Buffalo came up short again.

All of this was particularly tragic given what Josh Allen appeared to say on camera before the Bills’ offense took the field last time. As the Chiefs took a 32-29 lead, Allen was captured seemingly saying, “I’m ready,” as if he was ready for his moment to take the Bills to the Super Bowl.

Josh Allen is in a familiar position, and it's not one he hoped to be in coming into Sunday's AFC Championship. The Buffalo Bills quarterback dropped to 0-4 in his playoff career against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as his hopes of reaching the Super Bowl have once again come up just short with a 32-29 defeat at Arrowhead Stadium.
