Cooper Flagg recorded his second career double-double in the Dallas Mavericks' win over the depleted Indiana Pacers.

The Mavericks, now 2–3, have had a rough start to the season, dealing with injuries to Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford and Dante Exum. With Davis out against the Pacers, head coach Jason Kidd turned again to Flagg, who played more than 30 minutes and led the team’s starters in scoring.

The Dallas Mavericks nearly completed an improbable comeback against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night. Trailing by 22 points in the fourth quarter, the Mavericks cut the deficit to one in the final minute and had an opportunity to tie the game with less than 30 seconds on the clock.
