LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier was back on the field Friday after suffering a minor knee injury on Wednesday. Tigers fans got a bit of a scare when Nussmeier left after a defensive lineman's knee brace clipped his leg.

LSU football senior quarterback Garrett Nussmeier is dealing with tendonitis of the patella tendon, head coach Brian Kelly informed media members after practice Friday. Kelly said he believes Nussmeier's injury stems from a 2023 surgery he had on his knee and the team is taking precautionary measures with the LSU quarterback to ensure it doesn't get worse.
