Federal authorities raided a swap meet in Santa Fe Springs Saturday as tens of thousands of 'No Kings' protesters flooded the streets of downtown Los Angeles in opposition to President Trump’s policies.

The largely peaceful protests during the "No Kings Day" demonstration in downtown Los Angeles took an intense turn in the afternoon. Police ordered the crowd to disperse at about 4:15 p.m. PDT near Alameda Street and Temple Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division.

Tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets across Southern California on Saturday to voice their concerns over ongoing immigration raids and oppose the policies of President Trump, who they depicted as an aspiring monarch.

Video from the scene showed masked federal agents apprehending several people, accompanied by armed U.S. Marines.

Saturday’s demonstrators were jubilant and defiant, donning signs saying, “Stop racism,” “No kings” and “No one is illegal on stolen lands.”
