South Park annihilated the White House after the Trump administration repurposed their cartoon parody of immigration officers on an official government social media account. On Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security’s X account used an animated image of ICE officers from this week’s South Park episode in an attempt to recruit staff.

South Park, now in its 27th season, is renowned for satirizing American politics and culture. The White House's recent and pointed dismissal of the show as irrelevant, following an episode which parodied Trump, contrasts sharply with a federal agency now using South Park imagery for recruitment.

The official South Park X account responded to the post, asking: ‘Wait, so we ARE relevant?’ Their reply referenced the White House’s response to the first episode of this season, in which they claimed the show was ‘fourth-rate’ and no longer had any cultural capital.
